Apple Cider Recipe
Fall has arrived and with it, the traditions we enjoy each year. A favorite in my family is Apple Cider. This apple cider recipe has been in our family for years. Evenings spent outside around the bonfire with a warm cup of apple cider is one of our favorite fall traditions.
Fall tasks have begun. You know, pulling out the sweaters, cutting firewood and cozy one pot meals. With all these chores, my kids always look forward to apple cider and enjoy it topped with whip cream!
Apple Cider Ingredients
Apple Cider – The grocery stores are now stocked with jugs of apple cider. This recipe calls for a gallon.
Sliced Orange – Cut the peel away to avoid bitterness.
Clove – We use whole cloves.
Cinnamon Sticks – For the cinnamon, try to find ceylon cinnamon. This is true cinnamon and has many health benefits, but we’re using it for the awesomeness it adds to our apple cider recipe.
Fresh Ginger, chopped.
Whip Cream – Optional, but in my opinion makes this drink better!
