Do You Have Joy?

Where does your Joy come from?

Is your joy conditional?  Does it fluctuate depending on your circumstances?  Let’s embrace the joy that cannot be lost!  This joy is a sort of peace that one can have when the world around is falling apart.

Walls built so high that anything penetrating seems impossible.  Holding on to past hurts which turn the heart bitter.  Embrace the Savior’s forgiveness and in turn extend forgiveness to that someone who did the unthinkable.  Joy orchestrates a gratitude so removed from chaos the only explanation is Jesus!  Jesus will give you the power to forgive and in return, the bitterness is replaced with joy. Being able to FORGIVE BRINGS JOY!

Share the Joy

Alas, many people are without this joy which comes from our Lord.  We must be diligent to share the gift our Savior has provided with others.  Share the hope of ETERNAL JOY that is offered to everyone.  John 3:16 provides a solid solution to the despair this world seems to flaunt.  “For God loved the world in this way:  He gave His One and Only Son,  so that everyone who believes in Him will not perish but have eternal life.” (Holman Christian Standard Bible)

What to say to those Saints who seem to have misplaced their joy?  Look at John 10:10 for a possible explanation.  The thief comes to steal, kill and destroy but I have come that they might have life and have it more abundantly.

Be vigilant folks.  The enemy like a roaring lion is seeking whom he may devour.

Our Savior is our Source!

If you’re lacking, He’s where you go.  Do not give place in your heart to being lukewarm.  This dangerous place has no place in the joy-filled Christian’s life.  The joy the Lord gives is your calm in the storm.  It’s your tranquil when life is good and guess what?  Same joy when life ain’t good!

Take some time with Jesus.  Study His Word!  Hide His Word in your heart.  Get alone with the Lord and get to know Jesus!  Be diligent in and out of season.

Be sustained in your day, whatever that may look like, with His peace that passes all understanding.

Joy of the Lord

If you would like more information how you can have the joy of the Lord, we would be honored to introduce you to Jesus!  The time is now to find your joy.  Why wait?

In closing, I’ll leave you with these words from the book of John:

“Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends.”  And that is exactly what Jesus did for you.

Thanks so much for hanging out with us today.  We pray that you will experience the joy of the Lord this Christmas season.

Until next time,

Alisha
